Carla DiFilippo

Carla has been playing Ultimate since 2006. Quickly grasping the game and putting in the extra work needed, she won her first Canadian Nationals in 2009 with Lotus. Her desire and commitment to ultimate paid off once again in 2010 when she had the opportunity to play in the finals of the USAU club championships as a member of the Capitals. Building on this success she was a member of Team Canada at the WUGC in Japan in 2012. In addition to playing Ultimate, Carla dedicates much of her time to coaching at the high school and junior club levels in both volleyball and ultimate where she holds NCCP certification in both sports. In 2013 her high school girls’ volleyball team were OFSAA champions. She was also the assistant coach of the U23 women’s national team (Canada) who finished third at the World Championships. In 2014 she was the assistant coach of U20 women's national team (Canada) who finished second at the World Championships in Italy. Finally, in 2016 she was the head coach of the U20 women's national team (Canada) who finished with the gold at the World Championships in Poland.
